# wthUSD: Wrapped Stablecoin

**Status**: **Coming Soon** - Currently in testnet development

wthUSD (Wrapped thUSD) is a new product layer that expands Tharwa's reach into global market strategies while maintaining the faith-aligned purity of the core thUSD ecosystem.

## The Two-Lane Strategy

Tharwa is implementing a dual-track approach to serve different user needs:

### **Faith-Aligned Lane (Not Yet Certified)**

* **thUSD + sthUSD**: Capital flows designed with Islamic finance principles
* Backed only by sukuk, real estate, gold, and faith-aligned assets
* Building toward certification (not currently Shariah-certified)

### **Global Market Lane**

* **wthUSD + wsthUSD**: Unlocked yield potential
* Access to bonds, high-performance vaults, and broader asset classes
* Optimized for maximum risk-adjusted returns

## How wthUSD Works

### **Wrapping Process**

1. **Deposit thUSD** into the wrapping contract
2. **Receive wthUSD** at 1:1 ratio
3. **Access global market vaults** and non-faith-aligned strategies
4. **Unwrap anytime** back to thUSD

### **Use Cases for wthUSD**

* **High-yield bond strategies** not available to thUSD holders
* **Institutional-grade vaults** with broader asset exposure
* **Complex financial instruments** requiring flexible backing
* **Maximum yield optimization** without compliance constraints

## wsthUSD: Yield-Bearing Wrapped Token

**wsthUSD** will be the staked version of wthUSD, offering:

* **Enhanced yield rates** from global market exposure
* **Broader asset backing** including conventional bonds and securities
* **Institutional-focused strategies** for maximum performance
* **Same instant liquidity** as sthUSD

## Why This Architecture Matters

### **Regulatory Clarity**

* Clear separation between faith-aligned and global market strategies
* Maintains certification pathway for core products (not yet certified)
* Provides flexibility for institutional requirements

### **Market Expansion**

* Serves both faith-aligned and conventional investors
* Maximizes total addressable market
* Allows for specialized optimization per user segment

### **Risk Management**

* Isolates different risk profiles
* Prevents cross-contamination between strategies
* Enables targeted compliance and auditing

## Technical Implementation

### **Smart Contract Architecture**

* **Separate vault systems** for each token type
* **Isolated backing portfolios** with distinct asset policies
* **Seamless wrapping/unwrapping** mechanisms
* **Unified user interface** for easy navigation

### **Asset Allocation Differences**

| Asset Type               | thUSD/sthUSD  | wthUSD/wsthUSD  |
